Dead River Company and Central Maine Toyota support Pine Tree Camp in 2008 Ride-in

Rome, Maine (January 17, 2008) - Pine Tree Society is pleased to announce that Dead River Company is returning as the Title Sponsor of the 2008 Snowmobile Ride-in to benefit Pine Tree Camp.  In addition, the organization is happy to welcome Central Maine Toyota.

The 2008 Snowmobile Ride-in to benefit Pine Tree Camp will take place Feb. 1 and 2 in Newport.  All proceeds from the event will benefit Pine Tree Camp, an extraordinary summer camp for Maine children and adults with disabilities, is one of the many programs of Pine Tree Society.  

 “We are pleased to be partnering with Dead River Company and Central Maine Toyota,” said Anne Marsh, Executive Director of Pine Tree Society.   “On behalf of Maine children and adults with disabilities and their families, I thank them for their generous support.  Because of their commitment, Maine children and adults with disabilities will be able to attend Pine Tree Camp regardless of their family’s ability to pay tuition.”

The Snowmobile Ride-in is made possible with support from Dead River and Central Maine Toyota as well as other generous sponsors including J.D. Irving and Sappi.

Snowmobilers representing clubs from all corners of Maine as well as friends of Pine Tree Camp will take part in the 2008 Dead River Company Snowmobile Ride-in.  Since 1974, the Snowmobile Ride-in has raised more than $3.3 million in support of Pine Tree Camp.

Pine Tree Camp in Rome opened in 1945 as a recreational and therapy outlet for Maine children with disabilities.  A stay at the 280-acre facility in the Belgrade Lakes region allows campers to participate in such activities as arts and crafts, swimming, boating, fishing and overnight camping.

Pine Tree Camp is one of the many programs of Pine Tree Society.
