Meet Our Staff

Joe Pannozzo Joe Pannozzo, Director

I am originally from Connecticut, where I was born and raised for close to 21 years.  I attended the University of New Hampshire where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.  Over the past two years I completed classes which were required to become a board certified behavior analyst. I received a Graduate Certificate in Behavioral Interventions in Autism from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. At this current time I am attending classes to complete my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.

Currently I reside in Brunswick. I am a diehard New York Mets fan and every year they seem to break the part of my heart dedicated to sports!  I am involved in year round sports, softball, football and basketball, which are a time for me to relax and unwind.

Upon moving to Maine, I worked in children’s and residential services.  I enjoyed these services because it allowed me to have contact with the participants in the programs on a daily basis.  Working within the Community Services, it provides me with the same opportunity.
Mary Ellis Mary Ellis, Direct Support Professional

My name is Mary Ellis and I have been at Pine Tree Society Community Services since April of 2007. I left my long-standing job at Anthem Insurance to allow me to give up the paper chase and desk job for one in which I feel that I make a difference. I have not been disappointed.

My sister, Ann, attends the Community Services program, so I get to spend my days with her and 26 other friendly, fun adults (32 if you count the staff!) At Pine Tree, I work helping the group attain their chosen goals and wishes via fun, active sessions. I also help with development and use of the organizational tracking tools used by staff. On weekends, I share time with Ann, my children and grandchildren and my husband, Dana. I have learned much at Pine Tree Society and continue to be amazed by our group here.
Kelli Manson Kelli Manson, Direct Support Professional

Hi! My name is Kelli Manson.  I came to work for Pine Tree Society’s Community Services program in November of 2008 but have known Pine Tree Society as my aunt Joyce has been in the Community Services program for ten years.

I live in the country with my husband, my three children and 11 chickens.  In the short time I have been here, I have enjoyed getting to know all of the participants and our great staff here at Pine Tree Society.  I look forward to new challenges and being a part of the program to help participants reach their personal goals.
  Kristin Otten, Direct Support Professional

Hello, my name is Kristin Otten. I graduated from Clark University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2008 and am currently taking classes at the University of Southern Maine toward a Master's Degree in Counselor Education. I chose the field of human services because of my interest in lending a helping hand to those who are striving to live more fulfilling lives.

When not playing the role of a Direct Support Professional, I spend much of my free time with friends and family, reading, lounging by the pool or at the beach, cheering on the New England Patriots and snowshoeing. My boyfriend and I also love escaping to his family camp in Rangeley or to random places we have never before visited for the weekend. This is just a snapshot of my life, and I look forward to learning more about all of the participants at Pine Tree Society’s Community Services!
Stephanie Clapp Stephanie Clapp, Direct Support Staff

Hey there! My name is Stephanie Clapp and I am somewhat new to Pine Tree Society. I am a Social Work Student at the University of Southern Maine, and I am an upbeat and enthusiastic young woman. I work in the Community Services program.

I decided to join this terrific program so that each and every day I could be making a difference. I spend my days interacting and working with the participants on every day tasks and learning activities. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to bring a smile and a little bit of myself to the lives of the participants!
Tim Sawyer Tim Sawyer, Direct Support Staff

I was born and raised in the Greater Portland area. I spent several years working in the food service industry. I came to Pine Tree Society, Community Services, looking to be a positive influence and make a positive impact on the lives of others. I am glad to be here and look forward to coming to work every day. Pine Tree Society is the single most rewarding experience of my professional life. I look forward to a long career here and look forward to all the experiences it will provide.

I pass my time outside of work spending time with my wife, Sarah, and daughter, Lily. I also love reading and movies. I try to keep a humorous view on things. It is my personal view that life is meant to be lived. As such I try to enjoy life as much as possible and try to never miss a chance to laugh.

Matthew Bishop, Direct Support Staff

My name is Matthew Bishop, and I have been at Pine Tree Society since the beginning of February 2009. I am originally from England, though I have been living in America for most of my life. My wife and I have three cats.

There are few things I like more than a good turn of phrase or an interesting thought or a job well done, but the thing I like most of all is the idea that I have helped make someone’s day better. Having worked retail for ten some-odd years, essentially helping people in a moment-by-moment fashion, I hope to assist the participants of this program in a way that is both lasting and meaningful.

I look forward to learning much from everyone here.
