Application & Eligibility
Camp Pine Cone, Pine Tree Camp’s day camp, is designed to meet the unique needs of children, ages 5 to 12, with physical and/or developmental disabilities. Camp Pine Cone is a perfect way to introduce the summer camp experience to younger children. In addition, it’s a great recreational and social opportunity for children who’s disability may make overnight camping a challenge.
Camp Pine Cone's counselor-to-camper ratio is much lower than other day camps, a minimum of one staff member for three campers. While Camp Pine Cone is able to accommodate almost any camper with a disability, there are several requirements that must be met before an applicant is accepted.
Every applicant must:
- Have a disability
- Be between the age of 5 and 12
- Have the ability to participate in the program and interact with other campers
- Not represent a physical danger to themselves or others
A complete list of eligibility requirements can be found in Camp Pine Cone's application.
