Pine Tree Society’s Interpreting Services has been offering sign language interpreting services and Deaf culture training throughout Maine since 1976. With excellent customer service and first-rate sign language interpreting, Interpreting Services has earned the reputation of being the leader in their field.

The professional interpreters associated with the program share a commitment to providing the highest quality of services in an ethical manner. Many interpreters have expertise in specialized fields including medical and legal interpreting.

Pine Tree Society’s Interpreting Services is distinctive in terms of the types of services it provides. In addition to general sign language interpreting, the program offers Maine’s only statewide emergency sign language interpreting service during non-business hours, a service that is widely used by hospitals, mental health and legal agencies throughout the state.

Video Remote Interpreting allows interpreters to provide services remotely with state-of-the-art video conferencing technology.
