Bath, Maine -- Seven-year-old Nicholas Alexander just finished raising money to build Pine Tree Camp’s accessible treehouse.  Now the young camper hopes to raise money to build a new accessible playground at the camp for Maine children and adults with disabilities.

Nicholas and his family will host the second annual Family Fun Fundraiser on Sat., Sept. 20 from noon to 6 p.m. at Pine Tree Camp in Rome.  The event will feature a pig roast and barbecue, live music by Between the Lines, South Side and Jimmy and the Blue Notes and demonstrations and tours by Kennebec County Sheriff, Delta Ambulance, Kevin Keniston & Son Trucking, Maine State Police and Kora Karts.  There will also be plenty of opportunities for family fun with horseshoes, a bounce house, face painting, bean bag games and an appearance by Wingnut the Clown.

The Alexanders are hoping to raise $4,000 through the event.  All proceeds will benefit Pine Tree Camp and will be used to build an accessible playground.

The cost to attend is $10.00 per person or $25.00 per family of 3 or more.  The raindate for the event is Sun., Sept. 21.
