Working with children, their families and their educators to discover the method, or methods, that will create a pathway to clear and effective communication.

Being unable to communicate and fully participate in school, home and recreational settings because of a disability can be frustrating and isolating. These feelings often extend to the child’s family and educators.

Pine Tree Society’s Communication Pathways works with children, their families and educators to discover the method, or methods, that will create a pathway to clear and effective communication and strategies for full inclusion in all environments. In addition, the Communication Pathways staff can work with educational teams to adapt curriculum to meet the individual needs of children with various disabilities.

The Communication Pathways team is committed to tailoring their services to meet the unique needs of each individual client…a girl with Cerebral Palsy who lacks control of her muscles, a boy with Autism who has challenges communicating and interacting with the world around him or a special education department in need of a professional development workshop.

The Communication Pathways team are experts in the most innovative, state-of-the-art tools as well as the tried and true strategies that work to empower the children, families and educators with whom they work.

When the right tools and strategies are in place, a whole new world of communication and learning is opened to a child with disabilities.
