2008 Ride-In Schedule of Events
Friday, February 1
4 pm: Snowmobile club registration table open at Ride-in headquarters,
the Sebasticook Valley Community Center on North Street in Newport.
5 pm: Kitchen at the Sebasticook Valley Community Center begins serving food.
6 pm: Viewing of auction items begins.
7 pm: Start of the annual Ride-in
Auction featuring a wide variety of merchandise donated by area businesses
and plenty of snowmobile clubs and individuals. The auction will be
held at the community center and will be run by Auctioneer Pam Brooks,
who has once again volunteered her services as Ride-in auctioneer. So
plan to join us for some fun and fast-paced bidding. For more information,

Saturday, February 2
7 am: "All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet" at
Hungry Hollow '76ers Snowmobile Club, Horseback Road, Levant
(off ITS 84). Menu includes ham, eggs, pancakes, home fries,
Texas toast, doughnuts, fruit, coffee, milk and juice for the
cost of $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children. Breakfast ends at 9 a.m. The Q106.5 Egg Ride begins at the conclusion of breakfast. For more information,

7 am: **CANCELED** Annual Breakfast for Pine Tree Camp at the Meridian Splendor Lodge on Route 7 in Newport. Cost is $5 per person. Breakfast ends at 10 a.m. For more information, please call David Dyer at (207) 938-4613.
8 am: Registration begins
for Radar Runs on Sebasticook Lake hosted by the Sebasticook
Valley Snowmobile Club. The runs will again be held in the cove. For
more information, please contact Billy Sawyer at (207) 278-4512.
9 am: Start of the Q106.5 Celebrity
Egg Ride. Personalities from WQCB-FM/"Q106.5" in Brewer and WABI-TV in Bangor, as well as other celebrity riders will
suit up to begin the "Egg Ride" from Levant to the community
center. For each $50 the station receives in pledges, the celebrity
riders will carry one raw egg in their snowmobile suits as they ride
along the trail. To make a pledge, please call the Q106.5 at (207) 991-9500.

11 am: Chicken BBQ
in the parking area across from the community center. Cost: $7
includes barbecued chicken, coleslaw, potato chips, soda and a cookie.

12 pm: Bring in your treasures and the experts from Thomaston Auction will tell you what their worth. The Appraisal fair will take place at the VFW across from SVCC until 4 p.m. Cost is $5 per item.

2 pm: A return of the Ride-in Queen and Princess Pageant at the community center. Watch as talented young ladies from the central Maine area vie for the titles of 2008 Ride-in Queen and Princess. 3 pm: Join us for the popular Snowmobile Parade through downtown Newport. For more information, please call Gary Braley at (207) 368-5808.
4:30 pm: Public Supper at the community center. Food and other item for the supper are generously supplied by Bud's Shop'n Save. Dinner will be served until 6 p.m. Cost is $7 per person.
6:15 pm: Start of the annual Giant Fireworks Show over Sebasticook Lake.
