In this interactive session, we will follow the IEP process as we discuss:

  • Meetings
  • Timeframes
  • Notices
  • Evaluations
  • Differences between IEP’s and 504 plans
  • Parent’s Rights
  • Tips on how to handle difficult situations

Time to ask questions and copies of the Maine Unified Special Education Regulations will all be included at this informal meeting.

About the Presenter: Since Ann’s adult son was diagnosed with a disability many years ago she has had a strong commitment to assisting parents in various ways and has been with Maine Parent Federation since 1999.

This session is appropriate for parents, families, and anyone involved in raising a child with a disability.
