You asked, and we listened! The 26th annual Bath Savings Paddle for Pine Tree Camp Paddle returns this June with a new twist: not one, but two rivers to choose from!

Paddlers will have the chance to reunite in Solon for the traditional route down the Kennebec River or experience a new loop on the Androscoggin River in Brunswick.

Both paddles are family-friendly and perfect for all ages, skill levels and abilities. Paddlers can also opt to participate virtually. Registration is required and full Covid safety protocols will be in place.

Expanding the paddle to two rivers and making it a weekend-long event serves one purpose: to raise funds for Maine kids and adults with disabilities to experience freedom and independence at Pine Tree Camp. We are Maine’s only American Camping Association-Accredited camp for people with disabilities and 100% of proceeds from this event directly benefit Pine Tree Camp’s Open Door Policy.

Exciting news: For the first time in two years, Pine Tree Camp’s overnight summer camp sessions return; bringing Maine kids and adults with disabilities back together for a much-needed week of friendship and fun on the shores of North Pond. The return of summer camp makes a two-day paddle celebration particularly fitting!

Coming together to enjoy the Maine outdoors embodies the spirit of Pine Tree Camp. Throughout the pandemic, our fully accessible campus has been open for day use and family overnights; safely ensuring Maine people with disabilities full access to the outdoors in all four seasons. We’ll continue those offerings again this fall and winter.

Did you know? Since 1945, Pine Tree Camp has welcomed all who could benefit, regardless of their ability to pay.  The funds raised from the Bath Savings Paddle for Pine Tree Camp are a critical part of our open-door tuition policy all year-round.

We need your support more than ever. Join us for the 26th Bath Savings Paddle for Pine Tree Camp NOW!

THREE WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

1. Paddle on the Kennebec River on June 4th

Our traditional Paddle for Pine Tree Camp experience. Join us and bring your fundraising team as we paddle the Kennebec River for Pine Tree Camp on Saturday, June 4th. The adventure starts at the Evergreens Campground at 9:30 a.m. and ends in North Anson.

2. Paddle on the Androscoggin River on June 5th

Our new location with the traditional Pine Tree Camp experience.  Join us at 9:30 a.m. and bring your fundraising team as we paddle the Androscoggin River for Pine Tree Camp on Sunday, June 5th.  The adventure starts and ends at the Water Street Boat Launch in Brunswick.

3. Participate Virtually with your favorite outdoor activity.

Go on a bike ride.  Take a family hike on a local trail.  Walk around your neighborhood.  Have a dance party.  Or, jump in your kayak and go for a paddle. The choice is yours- what will YOU do? (And we’d love it if you’d share with us and other participants!)

Just remember, with every pedal, step, or cut in the water, you are making a big impact on the lives of Maine people with disabilities who depend on Pine Tree Camp.

We ask that all paddlers raise a minimum of $100 – all proceeds from the Paddle for Pine Tree Camp support Pine Tree Camp’s Open Door Policy.
