Let’s take a walk at Pine Tree Camp

by sbonnevie on July 10, 2019

Camp Director Dawn Willard-Robinson took a walk on Pine Tree Camp’s nature trail with long-time camper Linda “Jonesy” Jones Townsend. The two met in 1985 when Dawn began working at Pine Tree Camp. Jonesy has attended camp since the 1970s. Listen to their chat about why Pine Tree Camp is so important to them below.

  1. Steve Jackson (Music/Drama - 1977-78) says

I was Music/Drama Director in 1977 and 1978. I ended up marrying Mary Akins Jackson better known as “Iodine”. She was the Campcraft Director and ran the Overnight Site from 1976 – 1978. A generation later our Son, Mathias Jackson worked 2 Summers. One a Cabin Counselor and one the Sports Activities Director. His wife Emma Rogers Jackson was there as a Cabin Counselor one year as well. Greg Ourllette was PTC Director when We were there. We often feel the need to return to Pine Tree Camp, even if it’s only every 5 – 10 years between visits. It just gets better every time we come. We have lifelong friends from PTC and hope to visit again soon.
Jonesy was there when we were, I hope She had a good time singing after our meals.
    Love,
Steve Jackson aka Michael Stephen Jackson
