Pine Tree Camper Brian Harnish on the Q106.5 Morning Show

by Lori Manson on January 23, 2018

Pine Tree Camper, Brian Harnish, talked to Scott Miller and Cindy Campbell from the Q106.5 morning show as they gear up for the annual Egg Ride to benefit Pine Tree Camp on February 3.Brian Harnish at Pine Tree Camper

Brian told Scott and Cindy, he attended Pine Tree Camp in the kids’ sessions for about ten years, took about ten years off and then attended an adult session for the first time last summer.  He just got confirmation that he will be attending Pine Tree Camp again this summer and he is really excited.

Brian said meeting people and making friendships that last are the best parts of Pine Tree Camp.  He also likes getting to meet the international counselors that come each summer.  He still talks to a past counselor from New Zealand who was his counselor when he was about ten years old!

Brian can tell you from first-hand experience how spending time at Pine Tree Camp can have a huge impact on a camper’s life. Scott asked Brian and others to help spread the word about how important it is to raise money to send people to Pine Tree Camp so they can have that experience even if their family can’t afford tuition.  Donating to help stuff raw eggs in the Egg Riders’ shirts is a fun way to help ensure that nobody is ever turned away from Pine Tree Camp for financial reasons.  Donate today at https://www.firstgiving.com/pts/q1065-celebrity-egg-ride-to-benefit-pine-tree-camp.

[…] I had a phone interview with Q106.5, one of the biggest FM stations in the state as far as reach, about my experience at Pine Tree Camp (oh…I’m going back this year too). That seemed to go well, got a lot of positive feedback etc. I’m quite excited to return to camp, even though it’s only five days now. With the advancements in social media, it’s been pretty easy to keep up with whom I’ve wanted to keep up with since camp…and I have a few people I’m going to be hanging out with more this year due to our communication since last camp. Here’s a link to the story on Pine Tree Society’s website where a bit of text was lifted from the interview as well as the audio of the whole interview itself: https://www.pinetreesociety.org/pine-tree-camper-brian-harnish-q106-5-morning-show/ […]
