Q106.5 talks to Heidi Bowden about her daughter’s Pine Tree Camp experience

by Lori Manson on January 23, 2018

Heidi Bowden’s daughter, Addie, has been attending Pine Tree Camp for about 10 years.  It all started when Addie went to Camp Pine Cone, the day camp at Pine Tree Camp.  When Addie switched to the overnight session, they all stayed in Cabin 6, otherwise known as the Family Cabin.  Addie slept in Cabin 6 with Heidi and did activities with the other kids from Cabin 1 during the day.  Finally, the time came when Addie was ready to stay with her friends in Cabin 1.

Heidi talked to Q106.5’s Scott Miller and Cindy Campbell about the remarkable growth she has seen in Addie and how her Pine Tree Camp experience has impacted that.  For example, Addie started taking part in the talent show at Pine Tree Camp and is now in band and sings at Cony High School.

The upcoming Q106.5 Egg Ride raises money to send people to Pine Tree Camp. Every cent raised helps pay tuition for people who could not afford to attend.  Since 1945, Pine Tree Camp has never turned anyone away due to inability to pay tuition.  Donate today at https://www.firstgiving.com/pts/q1065-celebrity-egg-ride-to-benefit-pine-tree-camp .
