Sending people to camp one egg at a time

by Lori Manson on March 4, 2018

The morning of Feb. 2 was sunny and cold, but the temperatures did not dampen the spirits of friends who came to support Pine Tree Camp. Pine Tree camper Bradley Thibodeau was there, sporting an ear-to-ear grin as he helped stuff eggs in his mother’s snowsuit. Bradley and his family have been participating in the Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-in to benefit Pine Tree Camp ever since he first attended camp, more than 15 years ago. For Bradley and his family, it’s a chance to give back to a place that Bradley loves so much.

This year was different for Bradley and his family. Instead of looking on from the side-lines, Bradley’s mom, Amy Judson, was participating as a celebrity rider in the Q106.5 Egg Ride. In the annual tradition, riders stuffed raw eggs down their snowmobile suits before hitting the trail. Each egg represents a pledge of $50 to help send people to camp. Amy, along with Q106.5 personalities Scott Miller, Cindy Campbell, Paul Wolfe and Erik Owens and Pine Tree Camp director Dawn Willard-Robinson, left Levant with a collective total of 1,620 eggs stuffed in their snowsuits.

“Bradley really enjoys supporting Pine Tree Camp and I’m really proud of him for that,” Amy said. “It’s his happy place where he just gets to be Bradley.”

“Anytime you see a kid or adult that Pine Tree Camp helps, it’s just like ‘wow what a great cause,’” said Q106.5’s Scott
