Connie is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist who has been a member of Pine Tree Society’s Communication Pathways program since 2015. She is proud to have been affiliated with the program since 2007 when she attended Camp Communicate and has actively participated in camp every year since.
Connie provides evaluation, consultation and therapy services to children and adults, conducts in-service trainings and has co-presented at local conferences. On a typical day, Connie will teach an adult how to use an AAC device to support loss of language due to a stroke, cerebral palsy or autism, play with a young child who is working on improving their articulation, or demonstrate methods of how to communicate through low or high-tech methods so that a person can be better understood.
Connie says the most rewarding aspects of her work are watching a person develop new communication skills by finding their voice either through AAC or natural speech. She loves working with clients and their teams and know that she’s making a difference in their lives.
