Cuyler received her Masters of Communication Disorders from the University of South Carolina. She is currently completing her 9-month Clinical Fellowship en route to receiving her Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Prior to joining Pine Tree Society’s Communication Pathways program, she completed clinical rotations at Mid Coast Hospital and Bayside Neuro Rehabilitation Center. At both sites she gained valuable experience with adults and children who had a range of speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing needs. As a graduate student she also provided consultation to adult cochlear implant candidates during an externship at Hear ME Now. Cuyler is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT), a speech treatment for people with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Pine Tree Society, Cuyler provides evaluation, consultation, and therapy services to children and adults. When she is working with a client to define specific communication goals, Cuyler always takes time to reflect with her client on how those goals connect to her client’s quality of life. No matter how great or how small the communication challenges may be, Cuyler seeks to ensure that her clients feel hopeful and excited about the important possibilities in their own lives.
