Maura Nolin is an interpreter and educator working in Maine and New Hampshire. When not working as the Director of Interpreting Services or interpreting in the community, she serves as the President of the Maine Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, and as an instructor and mentor in the Interpreting program at the University of Southern Maine. Maura has a Master’s Degree from Gallaudet University, and holds the following national certifications from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc.: Certificate of Interpretation, Certificate of Transliteration, ED:K-12 (Scoring a 5.0/5.0 on the Educational Interpreter Proficiency Assessment), and Specialist Certificate: Legal. In addition, Maura holds K-12 Deaf Education and K-8 teaching certificates in Maine, and is Licensed to interpret in both Maine and New Hampshire. Maura is a die-hard Mad River Glen skier, drinks a lot of coffee, supports Boston teams, enjoys swimming, yoga, gardening, reading, and the adventures of her various family members and pets.
