The magic of Pine Tree Camp is about making “firsts” happen for our campers in a safe, encouraging environment.
For some, this is the first time they have ever spent the night away from their parents. For others, it is their first time catching a fish, going to a dance or scoring a goal in a hockey game.
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in August, Kelic was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his mother at pick-up time. Why? He couldn’t wait to tell her that Braden and Scott taught him how to swim.
“She won’t believe that I know how to swim now,” he said. “She will be so excited!”
For Kelic and other campers, the “firsts” they experience at Pine Tree Camp go beyond making good memories. These experiences have a transformational impact that lasts into the school year and beyond.
